IPOs. So we took that live recorded hour and compressed
it into the guts, the heart, and more importantly the
road map to making money with IPOs.
The result is this program.
In less than nine minutes Steve will give you the road

Now that my children have returned to school and I have a bit more time to focus on connecting with others, I’m finding myself thinking a lot about the Olympics and the lessons it can teach us about goal-setting and accomplishment.
An American swimmer who finished second in the 1500 M freestyle in Athens made it easy for himself to succeed by posting the splits he wished to do in his race in every conceivable place in his environment. The toilet seat, the car’s steering wheel, the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator – no place was too mundane for him to remind himself of his lofty swimming goals. He surprised the world at the Olympics by finishing a stroke or two out of first place to the world record-holder, Grant Hackett, but he swears his visual split cues prepared him for the race and his success.
Maurice Greene, another American athlete with Olympic achievements, tattooed “GOAT” on his arm to remind himself that he was “the greatest of all time.” Is it any wonder he medaled in running in Athens? How could you ever get away from visual reinforcement that you could achieve anything you desired?
Time and again, I find that people who find ways to cue themselves visually about their goals have unbelievable successes in what they attempt. I am currently trying a technique taught to me by a man whose career took off when he learned how to make lists and actually follow them: he minimizes an Excel spreadsheet with his goals on his computer and refers to it all day. At the end of the day, he updates it and copies it to a floppy disk, which he takes home and loads onto his home computer. He checks the list last thing at night and first thing in the morning.
“I went from someone with potential and no follow-through to someone who makes more money than I ever thought possible, and now I teach others how to achieve goals,” he told me. “The secret wasn’t making lists of my goals; the secret was actually looking at those lists frequently.”
James Loehr, a pioneer in the sports psychology who now works with corporate executives to help them achieve more, work less, live a balanced life, and develop a consistent exercise routine, says that there are several key points that happy high achievers have in common. One of them is that they have clear, written visual cues to help remind them at the beginning and end of each day of what their values are, and how each day’s activities reflected a dedication to those truths. He has found that people who include this step in each day’s rituals are more productive, less indecisive, and less anxious about their lives.
I have found that many of my clients benefit from the use of the unique Fantazein clock, which can be programmed to flash messages all day about anything you desire to program. My son, who is a top-ranked swimmer, uses the clock to set goal times for his swimming accomplishments. Since putting the clock and its gently-flashing messages next to his bed, I’ve noticed that he has hit his goal times more quickly than ever before.
Is there a missing link in your goal-setting and achievement process? Could it be that you aren’t making it easy to be successful by reminding yourself of your goals and values on a regular basis? Whether you carry your goals on a business card in your pocket, or you have something taped to your bathroom mirror that you look at morning and night, add this ritual to your routine and watch the miracles unfold.
Today there are more
people engaging in regular and consistent cardiovascular exercise then ever
before. Most health-conscious people have all accepted the fact that to achieve
a lean, toned, or muscular physique, and a feeling of well-being, cardiovascular
exercise must become an integral part of their conditioning program. So why is
it that the population of overweight and obese Americans continues to escalate?
Ultimately there is no one simple answer to this highly complex problem.
Nutrition must be
addressed first because nutrition fuels exercise. Once the body is nourished
and the nutrition supports the exercise that an individual needs to do to make
the changes, nutrition gives the body what it needs to exercise. Exercise
changes the body in a fashion that is desirable to the goal the individual is
trying to achieve. When the diet does not support the exercise, your body
dismantles the lean body mass (body fat is primarily burned in the muscle) to
get what it needs to sustain exercise.
There are several
factors that must be considered when fabricating an effective cardiovascular
program. These include:
ØExercise
Frequency
ØExercise
Intensity
ØExercise Time
To promote a
significant changes in the body composition (especially in the beginning
stages), exercise frequency, because of its effect on the reprogramming
mechanism of the body, should be done a minimum of 4 days in 30 minutes sessions
per week and performed in the recommended target sensitive zone.
Exercising on a
regular basis seems to have a more dramatic effect on favorable changes in body
composition than just doing the minimum. Once the desired level of body fat is
obtained, exercise frequency can be reduced.
The cardiovascular
frequency is one the most important variables in reprogramming the body not to
mention some of the following:
ØLowering
the body’s set point and body fat level
Ø
Promoting favorable biochemical and intramuscular changes
Ø
Maintaining lean body mass
Ø
Increasing the body’s ability to waste energy 24/7
Cardiovascular
exercise intensity affects the fuel-burning ratios of sugar and fat
inside
the cells along with the body’s programming mechanism and development of
intramuscular metabolic machinery (fat burning enzymes). There are two types of
energy the body’s cells are capable of producing: aerobic (fat burning) and
anaerobic (sugar burning). When performing moderately intense exercise, the
ratio of aerobic energy transfer begins to escalate while the aerobic energy
transfers declines.
If cardiovascular
exercise intensity is too high, it encourages the muscles to burn more sugar
than body fat. It also reduces energy levels during and after exercise.
Cardiovascular exercise intensity that is too low it slows the rate of fat loss,
may inhibit lipolysis and does not yield the
intramuscular changes necessary to reprogram the body to be fit and lean. Not to
mention it is inefficient use of time. Cardiovascular exercise should be
performed in the recommended target heart rate zone with a heart rate monitor.
There are two benefits of performing cardiovascular intensity in your target
heart rate:
ØShort
term – burns a significantly higher percentage of body fat
ØLong
term – reprograms the body at the cellular level to burn more fat than sugar
24/7
A person’s training
sensitive zone or target heart rate zone is determined by using the Age
Predicted Maximum Heart Rate Formula. Subtract the individual’s age in years
from the variable 220, then calculate a percentage of that figure (using
anywhere from Fat burning Zone 60% - 75%, Fitness Zone 75% - 85% & Performance
Zone 85% - 100%).
Example:
50 year old man in above average aerobic capacity
220 – 50 = 170 x 70% = 119
bpm
Aerobic exercise
duration that is less than thirty minutes encourages the body to burn a higher
percentage of sugar. It does not promote the intramuscular and enzymatic
changes necessary to effectively reprogram the body and should be performed in
the recommended training sensitive zone. Exercise duration is so important when
trying to lose body fat because an individual’s total body weight and
corresponding body fat is directly influenced by a conceptual weight regulating
mechanism located in the hypothalamus of the brain.
In order to exercise
for a long uninterrupted periods of time it is very important to choose an
exercise that can be performed without being uncomfortable. It is not a good
idea to do perform exercises that 1) Applies significant amounts of stress on
the knees, shins and back, 2) Is difficult to consistently and accurately
regulate the intensity level, and 3) I s difficult to perform for extended
periods of time without suffering discomfort.
In summary, these are
the five steps to an optimal cardiovascular exercise program to reprogram your
body to be fit and lean for life:
1)Nutrition fuels
exercise, so you must have an optimal meal plan to fuel an optimal
cardiovascular exercise program.
2)Cardiovascular
frequency a minimum of 4 days per week.
3)Cardiovascular
exercise intensity should be performed in the target heart rate zone for fat
burning using a wireless heart rate monitor using the Age Predicted Maximum
Heart Rate Formula.
4)Cardiovascular
exercise duration should be no less than 30 minutes per session remembering the
longer the duration the higher percentage of body fat being burned.
5)You should also
incorporate strength training to increase lean body mass because fat is
primarily burned in the muscle.
Now you should
understand that working harder (at a high intensity level) is not necessarily
working smarter because you may be programming your body to burn more sugar than
fat. Not to mention if you are not eating optimally, your diet can be
inhibiting lipolysis (breakdown of stored body
fat). By utilizing the five steps outlined above, you can optimize your diet
and exercise program to achieve and maintain your health and fitness goals and
become fit and lean for life.
Release the Old, Develop a renewed Mind, Body and Spirit. Give to the fullest
We are the chosen generation that have been appointed to be here at this perfect time. Yes, perfect time. You may be asking yourself what is so perfect about this time. Well, if you are alive, sitting where you are reading this editorial that means you still have the gift of sight, touch, motor function, reasoning and reading skills, etc. Every function, every breath and every eye blink is a gift. We are truly blessed to be here in the United States Alive and Well.
I just returned from the East Coast speaking to an elite group of individuals that were scrutinized, tested and proven in their field to be the best at what they do. For the sake of identification, I am going to refer to the event as a: "Potential for Success Bootcamp"
I was the Mind/Body/Spirit Trainer that was selected due to the passion and expertise I have demonstrated in this area. WOW!!! I'm honored that someone has that much confidence in me. I am still on my journey of discovery in every single one of those areas. I am thankful that I was blessed with such an incredible opportunity. I spoke, trained, led and educated these individuals as they allowed me access to their lives.
I offered them knowledge, concepts, formulas, principles and insights in many facets of Personal Development. I also taught Sports Training Techniques as well as Dance Training Techniques that can improve performance and reduce potential of injuries. It was a life changing experience for some. It was definitely a life changing experience for me. I observed success and failure at levels I would not have believed if I had not personally witnessed it.
The program was self contained, held in an obscure location and was secured away from media disruption. Now you must understand these individuals have unlimited potential in their field if they stay focused, train diligently and follow the principles of the elite faculty they were trained by. The summation of the training was: Become Strong: Spiritually, Physically, Mentally and Financially.
What greater level of success would you rise to if you had the same tools and training techniques these young participants were given? Really, ask yourself, "Would I change my thinking, would I act, speak, react or feel different? Would I wear different clothes, would I go to different types of places for enjoyment? Would I treat people different, would I volunteer more? Would I teach reading to under privileged kids? Your answer is crucial. If you are not involved in giving, helping, saving and caring now, it will not change because of scale reduction or body shrinkage. If you were instantly ten pounds lighter, your mind would be the same, even though your pants size would be smaller.
What about if you had more money. How would you act? Money only magnifies your person. If you are insecure, there's no amount of money that will buy your security. That is what I witnessed at this "Potential for Success Bootcamp" You must have a Spirit of Success if you want success to manifest in your life.
On one hand I trained with individuals who were extremely talented, but did not have the mental toughness that is necessary to take it to the top of their field. And on the other hand, I impacted individuals who had a burning driving desire to be successful in all areas of their life. They were striving for Life Balance. Spiritual Health was their first desire. This gave them the strength and will to do whatever was necessary to reach the top in their field.
The more I research, study, interview and train others the more clear it becomes that "you are what you think". What you think comes from your Spirit. You can't change your body until you change your thinking. You can't change your thinking until you change your Spirit and only God can do that.
David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs finally got his life's dream, an NBA Championship ring. His first Post Championship Win statement to the media was big fat "Thank you" to God. He confirmed that his success came based on his Spirit and faith. You can do the same. I ask God every day to help me in all areas of he life. I could never have enough wisdom to figure things out on my own.
The Bible says: "Be Ye Transformed by the renewal of your mind "
This is the perfect time to celebrate independence and step away from the negativity and doubt that paralyzes dreams and renew your spirit in preparation of a dynamic future. Talk to God, ask him to give you the Spirit of Success. He can change your Spirit and put you on the right path for your personal journey. He's the only one that knows who you really are. Then you can look into your heart for positive direction. You can only go where your heart takes you.
Get started on your transformation of your Spirit today. Then go to work on your Temple that houses your soul, your body, honor it, train respect it and feed it optimum fuel. The type of fuel that will give you unlimited energy and a quick start every day.
